Metal Medium Mother of Pearl Dish
From the archives, our Mother of Pearl Dish is re-editioned in solid brass and silver-plate. Once in matte resin, the round, symmetrical catchall is now finished in high polish metal, resulting in a hypnotically reflective, yet sculptural object. Its new-found weight adds permanence to the form, adding utility as a paperweight or to rest incense cones and tea-light candles.
Cast in small batches, each dish holds trace of the handmade process. As the surface remains untinned, this object is not designed for food service, but as a tactile catchall for delicate treasures. Responding to use and its environment, the high polish finish will shift, exposing character markings, texture and developing a natural patina.
Available in solid brass, left raw or coated in silver-plate.
